BriefShopify partnered with luxury streetwear brand Represent to showcase how the platform powers growth for retail and e-commerce. The aim was to capture Represent’s dual identity — one that's rooted in the North of England but steadily expanding across the US — and to communicate a unique attitude and rise to notoriety.
ProcessTo reflect this transatlantic story, filming took place across Los Angeles and Bolton. The creative direction leaned into a raw, urban aesthetic aligned with Represent’s street-led identity. A mixed-media approach was used throughout, layering hand-drawn graphics over live footage to create texture and energy. VHS-handycam visuals added an analogue, nostalgic edge, contrasting with the modern fashion context and enhancing the film’s expressive, unpolished feel.
ResultBalancing grit with clarity, the final film feels authentic and true to the brand. It captures the Represent identity across both regions, while clearly demonstrating how Shopify underpins their explosive growth.
