Amble: Three Nights in Dublin

Director: Mark O'Brien

Client: Warner Records

BriefIrish band Amble marked a major milestone when they announced three nights at Dublin's 3Arena — marking their first ever run of arena shows at home.

Initially, the goal was simply to capture the band's performance — however, as we spoke with the band and their team, it became clear there was a deeper story to tell. We wanted to peek into the inner world of the band; examining how Robbie, Ross and Oisín manage to stay connected, and why their popularity transcends generations.

Director Mark O'Brien saw an opportunity to balance the scale of the arena shows with intimate, reflective moments. We made our pitch for a mini-documentary that would blend interviews, performances and intimate "in the queue" moments. Amble were sold.

ProcessInside the arena, a six-camera setup ensured full coverage of the performances without losing emotional detail. With no second takes, tight coordination across camera, audio, and lighting teams was essential.

Conversations with the band revealed their dynamic, while interviews with fans in the queue captured a shared sense of connection from across Ireland.

In addition to the 12-minute documentary, we produced four standalone performance videos for the band's YouTube channel.

ResultThe final piece is than a concert film; it captures a pivotal moment in Amble’s stratospheric journey. ‘Three Nights in Dublin’ serves as a time capsule of three friends stepping into new territory, surrounded by community.
